Throughout November this year we will be supporting Movember with the aim to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically cancers affecting men. We want everyone to know that most cancers are highly curable if caught in the early stages – including prostate and testicular cancer. Movember aims to change the face of men’s health and reverse this way of thinking by putting a fun twist on this serious issue. Using the moustache as a catalyst, we want to bring about change and give men the opportunity and confidence to talk about their health more openly and ultimately reduce the number of deaths from cancer.
With the help of the actual Jim of Big Jim’s Trims the Bistro Boys will start the 1st of Movember with lovely clean wet-shaven faces. For the entire month each ‘Mo Bro’ must grow and groom a moustache – Jim will be tidying up and shaping their Mos in the barber’s chair every week with different styles for each Bro! There is to be no joining of the Mo to the sideburns (that’s considered a beard), or the handlebars to the chin (that’s considered a goatee) and each Mo Bro must conduct himself like a true gentleman. Whether you choose to grow your own Mo or not we would love you to join in the fun and help us raise vital funds and awareness and there are a few ways you can below…

Our Movember Cocktail – The Magic Moustache!
When head bartender Freddie heard we were planning a Movember campaign and we needed a cocktail to celebrate he was determined to get inventive and involve the girls!
His delicious mix of G’Vine Gin, Peychaud Bitters, Agave Syrup & Lemon Juice is shaken & served straight up forming a lovely foam top. You just can’t drink it without getting a little moustache on that top lip as modelled by the lovely Carys!
£2 will be donated to Movember for each cocktail sold.
The Big Party – Friday 30th Movember!
On the 30th November we will celebrate the Movember journey by throwing a Movember Party. We would love you to join us between 5pm and 7pm on the 30th for a free Magic Moustache cocktail and stay for a fund-raising party.
Its a great opportunity to show your Mo or just sink a few cocktails for a good cause. With your support this promises to be a fantastic night – we look forward to seeing you!

Big Jim’s Trims
The ‘enigmatic’ Jim is an old friend of Alex (@AlexWrethman) from back in the day when there was only a Big Jims Trims in Ealing and Alex was a young trainee chef at Charlotte’s Place!
Big Jim’s Trims opened in Devonshire Road a few years ago and has already become a firm Chiswick favourite. We are delighted that Jim will be ‘styling’ all our Mos, but mostly we are really looking forward to partying with him on the 30th
