It’s been an amazing month here at W5… At the risk of sounding a bit Oscar-speechy (without the organisational carnage!), I really want to thank everyone who came to our Chefs of Tomorrow dinner at W5 on a grim February evening.
It was genuinely brilliant to see the place working like that – crazy busy with such a buzzing event, Gin School in the conservatory and locals still popping in for a quick bite – all at the same time. It’s exactly what I’d hoped to create at the start of this mega-journey and the place rocked –even on a Monday night!
A grateful shout out to all the chefs who helped on the night, as well as the ones in the spotlight. It’s not easy to put yourself forward like that, so a big well done to Sam Weatherly from Cabotte, Ben Matthews from Duck & Waffle, Will Budden from Nat*ive and of course, our very own Roberto Gallo from Charlotte’s Place.
We loved doing the event so much in fact that I’ve got the team busily planning more special events including The Evening Standard’s London Food Month (in June) where we’ll be loudly and proudly flying the flag for West London. I’ll fill you in as soon as we’ve got our line up sorted…
