The joy of he Bistro is creating crowd-pleasing classics with fabulous ingredients and adding our own individual twist. This month we’re revelling in the delights of the season’s abundant produce, so enjoy reading about the new dishes below – we defy anyone to get to the end and not feel starving!

This irresistibly creamy ‘burratini’ is perfectly paired with the sweetness of slow-roasted butternut squash dressed in local Ealing honey alongside a few toasted mixed seeds for extra crunch.

Indulgent, medium-coarse British pork & chicken terrine is complemented by sweet apricots & pistachios, delicately nutty celeriac remoulade and the slight bitterness of chicory leaves. A slice of baguette roasted with olive oil & sea salt makes it an irresistible starter.

Gnocchi . Roasted Peppers & Courgettes . Baby Spinach . Pesto

A flurry autumnal of colour sees stunning roasted yellow and red peppers, courgettes & baby spinach topping mouth-wateringly melty gnocchi dressed with freshly made basil pesto.

Pan fried Atlantic cod with crispy skin comes with creamy cauliflower purée and caramelised chicory for a bittersweet edge. Roasted pine nuts, golden sultanas, baby capers & olive oil add a simplified sauce vierge for acidity and complete the dish.

Corn Fed Chicken Breast . Smoked Lardon Velouté . Leeks & Carrots

This classic bistro dish brings together everyone’s favourite autumnal ingredients for a hearty and delicious main. A simply roasted English chicken breast is served with leeks, glazed carrots, a few girolles and a luxuriously creamy sauce made from smoked lardons, the roasting juices, cognac, white wine and cream. A sure-fire favourite for the month.

If a dessert could be a hug, this would be it! British blackberries nestled inside sweet & moist frangipane, accompanied by the wintry spice of freshly made ginger ice-cream and a mint leaf or two for freshness. It’s just pudding perfection.
