Wreckfish

A pop-up event was organised at this derelict Liverpudlian building in the heart of Ropewalks to help raise the capital needed for this culinary venture. Gary Usher, one of Britain’s most controversial chefs, founder of the extremely successful Sticky Walnut in Chester and Burnt Truffle in Heswall, Wirral, enlisted faithful followers through crowdfunding to launch this laidback, neighbourhood bistro, just seconds away from Liverpool Central train station.

Exposed brickwork, wooden tables and floors plus an open kitchen greet you upon entry to this inviting establishment. Wreckfish is a 90 cover restaurant with a private dining room available for up to 14 guests for that special occasion with friends and family. You can choose from breakfast, lunch and evening meal menus, Sunday menu and for those special little ones, a kids menu.

Menu prices kick off at £35 for two courses or £40 for three, top recommendations would be the delightful Torched Salmon for main and Banana Loaf for dessert. Maybe its Sunday lunch that’s tempting you with its two courses from £26 or three from £30, an absolute favourite would be the stuffed and rolled pork belly plus spiced pear and apple crumble for afters.

If it’s a special birthday occasion, then why not treat the Birthday boy or girl to a specially made, indulgent layered chocolate Birthday cake complete with candles! Once the candles have been blown out, and a wish made, the cake will be served with a scoop of ice-cream for all the guests. The cake is charged at £40 and serves up to ten.
